Wedding

So, I'm currently in Navarre, FL at the beach, and definitely not wearing anything formal, but the night before we left for the beach I went to a wedding.  And I wore my sister's awesome homecoming dress.  It looked way better on her, but it fit me too and it is just beautiful.

Well this is a picture of Hannah wearing the dress for homecoming:

And this is me wearing it for the wedding:
And here is how I did my makeup.  Excuse the face, bad angle, and novice photography skills:

Shopping Trip

So yesterday I went shopping for some last minute beach stuff.  I was hoping to find another swimsuit, but I didn't have any luck with that.  I guess that was because it's so late in the season.  I did, however, get two pairs of really cute sunglasses at Wet Seal, and an adorable hat from Forever 21.  Yay for sun protection!

Here is the hat, a picture from the website:

This is the hat and one pair of the sunglasses.  I really like these sunglasses, they remind me of my mom's sunglasses in the 90's.  And they are brown.  It's my first pair of brown sunglasses ever! I usually stick to black.

And this is the other pair of sunglasses. They are super large, which is good, because the skin around the eyes is very sensitive, so the glasses will give me extra defense against the sun :]

And these are my LIME GREEN nails! I got bored at work so I gave myself a manicure.  I think I will change the color before vacation, though.

Hopefully I'll do another post sooon! I'm going to a wedding on Friday evening, so I'll probably write something about that, because I'm super excited about my outfit!

Navarre Beach, FL

So guesss what?! On Saturday morning, bright and early, I'm leaving to go on a lovely little vacation with my awesome boyfriend, Julian, and his family!  We are going to Navarre Beach, which is a cute beach on the Emerald Coast.  I have never been there before, but the pictures look beautiful.

My family takes a beach trip just about every year to Destin, which is not very far from Navarre.  We didn't go this year because of the oil spill, but it seems as though the area has not yet been affected, so Julian's family is going.

I am personally not a beach person.  I'm definitely more into visiting places where you actually do stuff, rather than just sitting around in the sun, increasing your chance of skin cancer, and getting sand stuck to your body.  However, I am in very much need of a vacation, and I'm going to definitely enjoy the lovely sea breeze more than the swampy gross sauna that's called Louisiana. And I'll be sure to apply and reapply sunblock.  Plus, I mean, how serene does this look?

It'll be a great place to just sit and relax and read a nice book.  Speaking of books, any suggestions on what I could bring?  I am thinking of bringing Pattie Boyd's autobiography, because I've had it for a few months now and never had time to read it.  But I know I'll read it super fast, so I definitely need more books.  Maybe I can read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows a seventh time? Just kidding.  No really, I might.

Right in front of where we are staying is this huge pier, it's the longest pier in all of Florida.  So of course I will probably spend a great deal of time on it, not because I particularly care to, but because Julian has mentioned it in almost every sentence he has said to me all day.  He is really excited about this pier.  I'm not quite sure why.  But I'm sure it will be cool, it looks kind of interesting.

One of my favorite things about going on vacation is being able to buy new stuff to pack.  I don't know why this is necessary.  I mean, it's really not necessary at all.  I have like 12 bathing suits, I don't know why I have this compulsive need to buy new ones.  I guess it's just because I'm addicted to shopping.  So anyway, I bought a new bathing suit and it's awesome and I got it at Target.  The top has this adorable little bow on it.  And the bottom has these cute little ruffles.  The pictures on the website totally don't do it justice.  It's wayyy cuter than it looks.  Plus, I have like no curves. so it doesn't look as much like underwear when I wear it as it does on the model.

Anyway, I'm going shopping tomorrow to get some more last minute things, including a big floppy hat to protect my face and scalp from the damaging UV rays.  So I will have more new things to update my blog with tomorrow! Or Wednesday.  We'll seee!

Interesting.

This is just a bunch of stuff that I find interesting.  I'm sorry if you disagree.

    1. Beauty Splurge

So I finally broke down and spent 18 dollars on the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion.  And you know what?  It was probably the best $18 I have ever spent on any beauty product.  In this horribly humid Louisiana weather, my eyeshadow would melt down my face in the 10 seconds it takes me to walk from my front door to my car.  Now, I can wear my eyeshadow the entire day without even the slightest crease forming. I even wore it to Warped Tour (you know, the outdoor concert in Houston that so luckily took place during a HURRICANE!) and although my makeup didn't stay on completely perfectly, you could definitely still see traces of my orange and brown eyeshadow.  I mean, seriously? This stuff can withstand a hurricane on your face. If you don't have any, you should get some.

      2.   Um, can Nagi Noda please come fix my hair?

I'll take an elephant, please.  The red color would be nice as well.  But if not, I would definitely love a rabbit or lion.

       3.  I cannot stop watching this video.

If there were anyone in the world that I could just sit down and have a day long conversation with, it would be Vic Fuentes.  His voice is incredible, his lyrics are captivating, and the fact that he covered a Beatles song just confirms his awesomeness.

      4.  Want to read my Disney Princess stuff?

So far, I've written four Disney Princess Inspired articles for College Fashion, and it seems as though people really like them, which makes me very happy, because I love writing them!  There are many more to come, but if you want to read what I've done so far, I'll link them below!
Next week, I'm going to write an article inspired by Jasmine, so get ready for that!

Anyway, if you get anything out of this blog post, I hope it is that you now love Vic Fuentes. Because he is so very talented.

Love, Calli

Houston?

So I never uploaded the rest of the San Antonio pictures, but that's okay because I have Houston pictures :]  Julian and I went to Houston with Alexis and Christian for the Warped Tour and it was incredible because I got to be FRONT ROW for Pierce the Veil and I got to meet them! However, it wasn't the ideal situation seeing as there was a hurricane passing through and it never ever ever stopped raining! So, I guess fixing my hair and putting on makeup was a waste of time. But we had sooo much fun!

This picture was taken when we first arrived, before any signs of rain.
This is what we saw when we glanced to the left while waiting in line.  Do not be fooled, it was not the Apocalypse, it was just an approaching  hurricane.

And so as to save the life of my camera, I didn't take any pictures while we were at the concert.  Fortunately, Epitaph Records got some pictures of us and put them on their Facebook page.  Julian is the guy whose head is taller than everyone else, and I'm the half-face girl below him.
And here is a true Kodak moment, Julian and I trying to block the guy next to us from elbowing me in the face
Needless to say, the shower I took when I got back to the hotel was the best. shower. ever.
Then, for dinner, we went to the Galleria. Alexis and I were Emporio Armani models for the evening ahah

And this is Alexis and Christian being cute

Then at the hotel, we got some cheesecake and it was delicious.
I love Alexis, she likes fashion and doesn't make me look short :]
Then the next day, before we came home to Louisiana (sadface) we went to the Galleria again for some shopping and for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, my favorite place everrrr, they have the best honey mustard. This was the wall.
And Julian took a cute picture by Tracy Tree, wearing my Pierce the Veil shirt that needs to shrink so I can wear it.
And then, sadly, we had to go home.
I guess that's it.  I miss Houston and I miss Warped Tour and I miss Pierce the Veil and Vic Fuentes.  Oh yeah, this was my autograph from him :] He loves me.

Bye!!!!!
